Women Safety and cyber crime
The next time you teach your mother, aunt, neighbour, your mother’s gossip friend, maid and your younger sister how to use WhatsApp and the internet.
Make sure you do it right.
Tell them about the pros without forgetting about the cons.
Tell them that it is okay to not learn fast, but to learn safe.
Tell them that the mail about winning 1 lakh rupees is a spam message that will cause no good but harm. Tell them not to get greedy about these things and that money never came without hardwork. The easy money always comes with wings. It vanishes faster than the blink of an eye.
Tell them that, the links that don’t seem to have a right description may lead to Blue Whale or a spam mail or even a virus in the device.
Tell them that the photos you send are appropriate to the person. Alert them about morphing and other such crimes.
Tell them about calls which offer gifts and those that tell you about winning a coupon, lucky draw and lotteries are all false.
Tell them about calls from banks and companies asking personal information may be fraudulent.
Tell them everything you know.
Make them aware about it all and just in case something bad happens, always tell them to call the police without hesitation.
Don’t forget to also tell them the best part about how there are so many things to learn on the internet and all the happy things you can learn and share.
