The Beautiful Drive!

It wasn’t long ago. My world was stuck back together. ‘Bliss’, ‘heavenly’, ‘euphoric’ were all understatements about how I was feeling.
My Tumblr search about cuddles, kisses and hugs were over now. I found love, in real.

We set off on a journey to Kodaikanal (The Princess of Hill stations) at 9.48 pm.
He put on the seatbelt to me safeguarded against sudden breaks, accidents and physical injuries.
What he didn’t know was that his halo had the power of protecting me from the evil eyes, preventing me from being broken and most of all, saving my life. He unknowingly safeguarded me from the mental injuries too.
When his hand brushed against my waist, I melted for his care. Oh, wait..that was nothing.

The journey went among the ghats with trees older than my great grandmother surrounding the road on two sides. The hairpin curves when my head turned towards his face. I saw an angel every time!
There was alertness on his face even when it got dark and foggy at 2.36 am. He didn’t drive rash as I was scared of speed. He considered about everything I ever said and we almost reached.

I leaned my head onto his shoulder and we were searching for a hotel to stay over that midnight. All the hotels were booked as it was holiday season. So, we slept in the car. I held his hand, twisting and turning unable to sleep. He pulled me and put me on him. I hugged him and fell asleep.
I woke up by 6.00 am and felt restless. I started to wake him. He didn’t wake up easily. So I looked at his beautiful face, kissed his entire face, his tiny chin, jaw line, cheeks, nose, forehead, lips and eyes. Then I played with his hair and whispered “baby” in his ears and he slowly woke up and I kissed him and told him to exchange the driver’s seat with me. He got up and I started to drive around Kodaikanal for about 30 minutes and then we drove away to Kochi, Kerala. It was an 8 hrs journey.
